> Growing up in the capital of Maritriss wasnt easy, the religious hold on the city was pronounced and the merits of its people paved the way. His family all served the church of Lidyne, God of Money and Transactions and so he fell into step. His work initially was academic, earning his seals at the young age of 20 he was stationed within the city's archives, maintaining the records of the exchanges of nobility. He met his wife in the archives. A dull woman by all accounts but to him she was perfect, soft spoken and calculated. He spent much of his time chasing accolades to be of a station to court her. A surge of motivation that was one of the few things that has ever driven him forward.
Success, status and family were his rewards for his work.
So he worked, promoted to managing tithes and claims of nobility, a forward facing role in service to Lidyne. The abstraction of responsibility accepted by the city controlled by his church allowed him critical and at times cruel enforcement over those in service to his establishment.
His wife Fyrene birthed him two healthy sons. Beck and Henry, boys raised in the coddling of their parents' success. They did not choose the path of the clergy, seeing in their father an immense hollow existence. As soon as they came of age they left the capital of Maritriss, leaving kind words and promises to their mother but nothing to their father.
Yet still Barradyne continued his service, 40 years given to the church, 40 years of merit earning him a place in the Mausoleum. A high honor, prestigious reward for the end of his life. Yet he outlived his wife, catching some sickness, some infection that rapidly deteriorated her health. He grieved her, and grieves her loss still. A life of service for an empty home. A life of service for a cold tomb. A life of service with admittedly few regrets. He works content knowing some day his children will return, or he will be entombed where he belongs.

Regards youth as potential and is more likely to try and guide them than others, assuming they are respectful.
Prefers known and reliable, planned efforts.
